2011-11-03, Thursday, 22:00-00:00 CST
~30 F, clear, cold, little to no wind,
Above average seeing and transparency, I think

What I saw:

* Moon
Equipment: Zhumell Z10 10″ Newtonian reflector
I viewed the moon at several magnifications: 40x, 80x, 208x, and 416x. I took some afocal photos at 40x.

* Jupiter
Equipment: Zhumell Z10 10″ Newtonian reflector
I was hoping to be able to see the GRS as Stellarium said it would be visible from around 11p-1a, but seeing wasn’t quite good enough to get enough magnification for that. I tried to take some photos, but the alignment of the camera wasn’t working out well at higher magnification. I need to make a mount.

* M31
Equipment: Zhumell Z10 10″ Newtonian reflector
I was surprised to see M31 at all, due to the moon being out.

* M110
Equipment: Zhumell Z10 10″ Newtonian reflector
As surprised as I was to see M31, I was even more surprised to be able to see M110.

* NGC 884
Equipment: Zhumell Z10 10″ Newtonian reflector
Double cluster in Cassiopeia

* NGC 869
Equipment: Zhumell Z10 10″ Newtonian reflector
Double cluster in Cassiopeia

* M45, Pleiades
Equipment: Zhumell Z10 10″ Newtonian reflector
The brightest stars in Pleiades looked awesome. Very pronounced and sharp at 40x
